New CFO at Evolva

Jakob D. Hansen has joined Evolva SA, the Swiss-based biotech company, as Chief Financial Officer.

Jakob, a Danish national, has extensive experience from both the biotech and the financial industry. Before joining Evolva, he was a financial advisor to several life science companies in Denmark. From 1999 to 2005, he was CFO at Zealand Pharma in Copenhagen, responsible for managing four financing rounds and two major licensing negotiations.

Before going into biotech, Jakob was a Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance, at Unibank, Copenhagen, responsible for a large number of IPO’s and other corporate finance transactions. In 1988-89, Jakob was Head of Market Research at Novo Nordisk. Jakob holds an MSc in Macroeconomics from University of Copenhagen and an MBA from Insead in France.
